Sesshin Daily Schedules

Kokuho Day (This is the usual schedule  for Day Before Sesshin with Opening Ceremony in the evening ):

Please help prepare the monastery by arriving a day or two early if you can.

Morning Choka (Chanting): 5-6 AM

Zazen 6-7 am, breakfast, work.

Free Style lunch: 12:00

Free Style Supper: 4:00 pm

Orientation in Dining Hall 5 pm

Seated on Cushion: 7:45 pm

Kokuho: 8 pm-9

9 pm Kaichin (brief evening chanting in kitchen for all)
